Sentence + けど/けれど/けれども
The final mo is sometimes dropped in more informal speech.
Examples
旅行に行きたいけれどもひまがありません。
Ryokō ni ikitaikeredomo hima ga arimasen.
Though I want to go on a trip, I have no time.
彼は疲れていたけれども、働き続けた。
Kare wa tsukarete itakeredomo, hataraki tsudzuketa.
Tired as he was, he went on working.
彼は若かったけれども、その仕事をやる力があった。
Kare wa wakakattakeredomo, sono shigoto o yaru chikara ga atta.
Young as he was, he was equal to the task.
その店に行ったけれども閉まっていました。
Sono mise ni ittakeredomo shimatte imashita.
I went to that store, but it was closed.
たいへん困難な仕事だけれども、私は最善を尽くす。
Taihen kon’nan’na shigotodakeredomo, watashi wa saizenwotsukusu.
Although it is a very difficult task, I will do my best.
雨が降っていたけれども、みんなは楽しい時を過ごした。
Ame ga futte itakeredomo, min’na wa tanoshī toki o sugoshita.
Although it rained, everyone had a good time.
