No matter how much you hurry, you will not make it in time for the train.
練習がどんなに厳しくても、彼女は決して泣かなかった。
Renshū ga don’nani kibishikute mo, kanojo wa kesshite nakanakatta.
However hard the training was, she never cried.

Noun + どころか
In 「S1 どころか S2」, S1 indicates that someone or something is very far from an expected state. In S2 appears a situation quite different from the situation expressed in S1.
Examples
雨はやむどころか、いよいよひどくなった。
Ame wa yamudokoroka, iyoiyo hidoku natta.
Instead of stopping, the rain increased.
彼女の成績は上がるどころか、下がる一方です。
Kanojo no seiseki wa agarudokoroka, sagaru ippō desu.
Not only did her results not improve, it keeps going down.
私たちの交渉は失敗どころか、大成功でした。
Watashitachi no kōshō wa shippaidokoroka, taiseikō deshita.
Far from being a failure, our negotiation was a great success.

Formations
Noun + 中
When 中 is attached to some Nouns it’s pronounced as “chuu” while to others it’s pronounced as “juu.” There’s no specific rule so you’ll need to learn by heart.
When attached to some certain Nouns, 中 can be pronounced as both chuu and juu. For example:
授業中 (jyugyouchuu/jyugyoujuu): druing the class
年中 (nenchuu/nenjuu): whole year, all year round
Examples
仕事中、私は携帯に出られません。
Shigoto-chū, watashi wa keitai ni deraremasen.
During work, I can not answer the cell phone.
世界中に友達を作りたい。
Sekaijū ni tomodachi o tsukuritai.
I want to make friends all over the world.
面接中、彼は落ち着きがなかった。
Mensetsu-chū, kare wa ochi-gi chi-tsuki ga nakatta.
During the interview, he was unsettled.
今週中に、あなたがたは宿題を提出する必要があります。
Konshūjū ni, anata gata wa shukudai o teishutsu suru hitsuyō ga arimasu.
You need to hand in your homework this week.

別に大したことはない。
Betsuni taishita koto wa nai.
It’s not a big deal at all.
別にかまわない。
Betsuni kamawanai.
I don’t really care.
別にアメリカに行きたくない。
Betsuni Amerika ni ikitakunai.
I don’t particularly want to go to USA.
その絵は別に貴重なものでもなんでもない。
Sono e wa betsuni kichōna mono demo nan demo nai.
That painting is not really valuable.
