Watashi wa kaisha e iku no ni ichi-jikan kakarimasu.
It takes 1 hour for me to commute to work.

Kanojo wa ryōri o tsukuru no ni ni-jikan kakarimasu.
It takes two hours for her to make the food.
それを切るのに私はナイフが必要です。
Sore o kiru no ni watashi wa naifu ga hitsuyō desu.
I want a knife to cut it with.
あの店はいろいろなものを買うのにとても便利です。
Ano mise wa iroiro na mono o kau noni totemo benri desu.
That store is very convenient for buying various things.

Jūtai no tame ni kūkō ni tsuku noni ni jikan mo kakarimashita.
